Capital Governorate seeks to support and empower women, as initiatives have been identified that contribute to the advancement of women in various fields, and in a manner that ensures the integration of their needs into the development path.
Capital Governorate provides many training courses and specialized workshops for the development of women in society, in addition to strategic partnerships and continuous cooperation with women's NGOs and civil society organizations that care about women.
Empowering women in entrepreneurship
Capital Governorate launched the activities of the Manama Entrepreneurship Week, which aims to support entrepreneurs, emerging institutions and small and medium enterprises, by attracting the most prominent international speakers and experts in the field of entrepreneurship, in addition to showcase success stories from entrepreneurs in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Themes were also devoted to empowering women in the field of entrepreneurship by organizing workshops and specialized training programs in the field of supporting women and motivating them to enter the entrepreneurship market.

Among the most prominent speakers at the Manama Entrepreneurship Week are Ms. Stephanie Woollard, winner of the Empowerment of Women through Entrepreneurship from Australia, Ms. Ingrid Vanderveldt, CEO of Empowering Billion Women in the United States, and Ms. Nina Vaca, winner of the title of the fastest growing company in the United States, Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship at the US Department of Commerce.
