HE Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate, launched the third edition of the Manama Entrepreneurship Week in association with Tamkeen and Ahli United Bank (AUB). The event which is considered the most important event in the Capital since its launch in 2015, thanks to its role in providing the ideal platform that inspires and provides young entrepreneurs with new and unique ideas through some speakers who, according to their experiences, present their success stories, which are expected to motivate young people to start their own projects and turn their dreams into reality so they could enter the field of entrepreneurship according to international quality standards.

This comes out of the Governorate’s belief in empowering individuals and improve the local community, which in turn contributes to the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain to promote sustainable economic development and support economic diversification. 

In his message during the opening ceremony of forum that was held at Ritz Carlton Hotel, HE said  “Today, we are celebrating the launch of this important event, which is being implemented as part of a joint collaboration work between twenty five governmental and private entities, that will last for a week.  

“This forum aims to stimulate the abilities and skills of more than 5,000 young men and women from all over the Kingdom of Bahrain through  14 workshops and symposiums that will be organized in parallel with this event led by 30 speakers from Bahrain, Kuwait, USA, Australia, Britain, Germany and the Federal Republic of Russia” HE Shaikh Hisham said. 

“This event,  held under the theme: “Towards Achieving Sustainable Development Goals” was organized in concert with the 17 objectives of United Nations Development Programme,  is a real opportunity to exchange new ideas and share them in  a cultural form that brings together several countries at one place to enlighten the youth of Bahrain with the world's leading entrepreneurship projects and experiences”.
